A carrier settings update is now available to all impacted iPhone devices. Once installed, your iPhone device will be able to connect to the network as normal.

To install the update, follow these instructions:

• Connect your impacted iPhone to Wi-Fi
• Tap Settings > General > About
• Accept the carrier settings update by tapping “OK”
• Confirm the update installed by going to Settings > General > About and make sure it says “Telstra 54.1” next to Service Provider
• If the Service Provider version does not show “Telstra 54.1” check you’re connected to Wi-Fi and repeat the steps above

An issue is preventing some older Apple devices from connecting to our network, including calls to 000.

If a device is showing "SOS Calls" or "SOS Only", any calls to 000 will be automatically connected via an alternative mobile network if one is available. However, it can take some time (for example, one minute) for the impacted device to connect to the alternative mobile network when one is available.

If a device is showing "No SIM" or no connectivity at all, calls to 000 will not work.

Our network partner is working with Apple as a priority and they have paused the relevant software updates. Customers should delay updating their software until the issue is resolved.
